1. What is APEX Event Network?
APEX Event Network is a nonprofit organization created to support accomplished event industry professionals through meaningful pathways to work, peer mentoring, connection, and relevant training and education.
2. Who is APEX designed for?
APEX is designed for event professionals with 18+ years of experience who want to remain active, relevant, and visible in the event, exhibition, meeting, and experiential sectors and want to make the most of their later-stage career. Regardless of your level, role, or employment status, APEX offers career development services, education and skill building, and peer connections that help every member to thrive.
3. Do I need to have a full-time job to join?
No. APEX is valuable for professionals exploring many different next steps in their career, including full-time role, consulting work, contract opportunities, starting a new business, mentoring, collaboration, and continued industry involvement.
4. What kinds of support and connections does APEX offer?
APEX offers career transition support, connections to peers, networking events, mentoring, education, and pathways to full-time, consulting, contract, and project-based work opportunities. Our organization will continue to offer new member services, tools, and events based on our members’ needs.
5. How do I become a member?
Prospective members can submit a membership application through the website. Membership is on an individual basis. Applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with the mission and focus of the APEX community, and you will be notified of acceptance.
6. Is there a fee to join?

The initial membership term begins October 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027 (i.e., if an individual joins on 10/26/26, they will receive 15 months of membership). The inaugural individual membership rate is $79 for applications submitted by December 15, 2026.

Applications received after December 15, 2026 or later will be considered for a calendar year membership term from January – December, and the membership rate will be prorated based on the number of months remaining in the calendar year. 2027 member rates will be posted soon.

7. What programs are currently offered?

Current offerings include career transition coaching by Judy Berman, and webinars designed to help our members with career development, career transitioning, and more. We will hold our first networking event at IAEE Expo Expo in Milwaukee to connect our members and prospective members in a joint happy hour with TSSNG Group.

APEX will be adding more services, events, and a solution to help our members find contract, freelance, and project work and match companies and organizations with experienced talent. Be sure to check back on the website often and follow APEX on LinkedIn for the latest updates.

5. Why does APEX matter right now?
APEX addresses a real gap in the industry by helping seasoned professionals remain valuable contributors at a time when many organizations risk losing critical leadership experience and institutional knowledge as they lay off experienced professionals and replace with junior staff.

No. APEX is also about connection, visibility, ongoing learning and skill building, mentoring, and creating new ways for experienced professionals to continue shaping the future of the industry.
